Weather will be the primary reason. Despite its huge size. the real habitable area is probably less than 10% of its geographical size. Even Southern Ontario is deemed by many I know to be "too cold to live". 90% of Ontario and Quebec are simply inhabitable. I also personally think the entire Manitoba and Saskachewan are not suitable for human habitation unless we can create a way to simply hibernate during the 6 month winter (why there are so few people in Montana and North Dakota?) The fact that Montreal are thrive as a vibrant metropolis is already sort of a miracle and we don't see many such large cities with such severe weather. The only other case I can think of is probably Moscow.

What impact did the committees of correspondence have in america?
beks73 [17]
I would say the correct answer is e. colonial leaders were able to spread ideas and information of resistance to taxes more quickly. The Committees of Correspondence had nothing to do with Indians or slavery. They were the first organized means of spreading information among the colonial leaders immediately before American Revolution, in opposition to Britain's political and economic policy towards the colonies. One of them, located in Boston (the earliest one) was responsible for organizing the Boston Tea Party.

Leading up to the french and indian war, the british were
stellarik [79]

During the French and Indian War, the british were allies of the side of the British indians.

The French and Indian War (1754–1763) was a confrontation between the British colonies and the colony of New France in North America. During the conflict, each side was supported by military forces from its parent country and by American Indian-native allies. The French were outnumbered (60,000 settlers against 2 million inhabitants in the British colonies), and had to rely more on the Indians.

It was a singular conflict. Even tough the European powers participated somehow, it is not regarded in America as a conflict associated to them at all.
