The answer:
0.43 = \frac{3}{100} + \frac{4}{10}

This is because
\frac{3}{100} = 0.03
\frac{4}{10} = 0.40

And 0.40 + 0.03 = 0.43

A person rides there bike at a rate of 1/4 mile every 3 minutes. What is there biking rate in miles per hour?
mario62 [17]
The answer is: 5 miles per hour

First we need to find out how many 3 minutes is in an hour. To do this, we need to divide 60 by 3= 20. Since we now that there are 20 (three minutes) in an hour (60 minuets), me can now multiply 20 by 1/4 of a mile= 5. That makes the answer 5 mph

Hope this helps and hope you have a great day

Which equation can be used to find x the length of the hypotenuse of the right triangle?
-BARSIC- [3]

Answer:

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

For any right triangle, the longest side is called the hypotenuse. Therefore, by Pythagorean theorem it is true that:

x^2=a^2+b^2

Where:

x: Hypotenuse

a, b: The other two sides.

For instance, if we have a right triangle whose sides measure:

a=3 \\ \\ b=4

Then, the hypotenuse can be found as:

x=\sqrt{3^2+4^2} \\ \\ c=\sqrt{25} \\ \\ c=5

I need help pls!! 20 points I need it!!
dolphi86 [110]

Answer: About 6.71 units

Step-by-step explanation:

You use the distance formula: \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^{2}+(y_{2}-y_{1})^{2} }.

Assign the the two points to the variables:

(x_{1}, y_{1}) =  (1, 3)\\(x_{2}, y_{2}) = (4, -3)

Substitute them in the formula:

\sqrt{(4-1)^{2}+(-3-3)^{2}}

And solve it:

\sqrt{(4-1)^{2}+(-3-3)^{2}}\\=\sqrt{(3)^{2}+(-6)^{2}}\\=\sqrt{9+36}\\=\sqrt{45}\\=6.71
