To domesticate a plant or animal means that you tame it or use it for domesticated purposes. This means they could use it for food or to produce more of the same species to produce food. God's and goddesses that may have to do with this may be ones that deal with any animals and the elements. This allowed people to stay because they could domesticate animals to control food production and this allowed for the development of towns. Less migration would occur for the early humans if they could domesticate plants and animals and this allowed populations to grow as people tamed animals and grew crops.

Match each candidate from the Election of 1860 to their description
olasank [31]

Answer:

Abraham Lincoln  / Believed states should vote to decide on slavery

John Breckenridge  / Opposed slavery on moral grounds

Stephen Douglas  / Pro-Slavery

John Bell / Silent on the issue of slavery

Explanation:

This were one of the most important elections in the history of US.

It is interesting that Breckenridge who was opposing slavery morally totally changed his views, as he was owning slaves before.

Also, Bell who was from South did not use this question in the elections.

Therefore Lincoln's main opponent was Douglas.

The correct answer is B. President Kennedy's ambitious plan was called "The New Frontier"

New Frontier refers to the term used by the candidate of modern liberalism of the Democratic Party to the presidency John F. Kennedy in his acceptance speech in the United States presidential election in 1960 at the Democratic National Convention held in Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as the Democratic slogan. The phrase became a hallmark of national and foreign programs during his administration.

As he said, "We stand today on the edge of a New Frontier, the frontier of the 1960s, the frontier of unknown opportunities and perils, the frontier of unfilled hopes and unfilled threats. ... Beyond that frontier are uncharted areas of science and space, unsolved problems of peace and war, unconquered problems of ignorance and prejudice, unanswered questions of poverty and surplus".

Describe the basic beliefs of socialism.
sattari [20]

Answer:

Socialism is an economic and political system. It is an economic theory of social organization. It believes that the means of making, moving, and trading wealth should be owned or controlled by the workers. This means the money made belongs to the people who make the things, instead of a group of private owners.
