To domesticate a plant or animal means that you tame it or use it for domesticated purposes. This means they could use it for food or to produce more of the same species to produce food. God's and goddesses that may have to do with this may be ones that deal with any animals and the elements. This allowed people to stay because they could domesticate animals to control food production and this allowed for the development of towns. Less migration would occur for the early humans if they could domesticate plants and animals and this allowed populations to grow as people tamed animals and grew crops.

As expansion continued, agreements were signed and they were broken with native americans losing their homes and land and force to move west. As Native Americans were forced to more to the west, they are not able to adopt to the environment they are moving to, so they died due to lack of food or diseases.
