Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

Midpoint of segment AB  =  -1

Midpoint of segment CD  = - 0.5

Midpoint of segment EF = 1.5

Midpoint of segment GH = 1.5

Discussion:

Generally for segment (a, b) the midpoint of the segment is given by the formula (a+b)/2.  For this problem:

Midpoint of segment AB  =   (-3 + 1)/ 2 = -2/2 = -1

Midpoint of segment CD = (-4 + 3)/2 = -1/2  = - 0.5

Midpoint of segment EF = (1 + 2)/2 = 3/2 = 1.5

Midpoint of segment GH= ( -5 + 2)/2  = 3/2 = 1.5

Thank you,

MrB

PLZ help its due at 11:59
blagie [28]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Complementary angle = 68'

Angle measure = 90' - 68' = 22'

Supplementary angle = 180' - 22' = 158'

Angle classification = Acute angle

Given:

Supplementary angle = 161'

Angle measure = 180' - 161' = 19'

Complementary angle = 90' - 19' = 71'

Angle classification = Acute angle

Given:

Angle measure = 136'

Angle classification = Obtuse angle

Complementary angle = 136' - 90' = 46'

Supplementary angle = 180' - 136' = 44'

A certain medicine is given in an amount proportion to a patient’s body weight. Suppose a patient weighing 132 pounds requires 1
Natali5045456 [20]

Answer:

  169 mg

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of medicine quantity to body weight is the same for both patients, so ...

  amount/(156 lb) = (143 mg)/(132 lb)

Multiply by 156 lb:

  amount = (143 mg)(156/132) = 169 mg

The patient requires 169 mg of medicine.

Limif f(x)=cosx−1sin2x, then limx→0f(x) is equivalent to which of the following?
Harlamova29_29 [7]

The equivalent limit of the function as x tends to zero is -1/2

Given the limit of a function:

f(x)=\frac{cosx-1}{sin2x}

Taking the limit of the function as x tends to zero

f(x)=\frac{cosx-1}{sin2x}\\ \lim_{x\to 0} \frac{cosx-1}{sin2x}\\=\frac{cos0-1}{sin2(0)}\\=\frac{1-1}{0}\\=\frac{0}{0}(ind)

Applying the L'hospital rule will give:

\lim_{x \to 0} \frac{-sinx}{2sinxcosx}\\= \frac{-sin0}{2sin0cos0}\\=\frac{0}{0}(ind)

Applying the l'hospital rule the second time:

\lim_{x \to 0} \frac{-cosx}{2(-sin^2x+cos^2x)}\\= \frac{-cos0}{2(-sin^20+cos^20)}\\=\frac{-1}{2}

Hence the equivalent limit of the function as x tends to zero is -1/2
