<span>False because there is no limit on how much a Political Action Committee (PAC) may contribute directly to a campaign. PAC is the political organization established by a corporation, labor union, or other special-interest group designed to support candidates by contributing money.  There are </span>problems associated with campaign finance laws in Texas which are mentioned below:

<span>1. </span>Texas laws regulating campaign contributions and spending are difficult to interpret and enforce.

<span>2. </span>Investigations by the Travis County district attorney's office - not the Texas Ethics Commission

<span>3. </span>Led to grand jury hearings and charges against contributors and political operatives

<span>4. </span>Even though the Texas law specified criminal and civil penalties for violators, it provided no means for enforcement.

<span>5. </span>Reporting of campaign contributions was uneven - and unverified

<span>6. </span>Ethics law did not impose limits on campaign contributions.
