The Napoleonic wars were the series of battles that France had when he was the emperor of France with other nations of Europe.  The scale of the war was bigger that battles in the past. The power and influence of France during this period rose rapidly but it did not last many years. The British and the Prussian Army defeated Napoleon at Waterloo, Belgium, on June 18, 1815. After this period, Great Britan consolidated as one of the most powerful nations in the world and many fictional books and histories were written about these significant events in European history.

The first railway service in Nepal, Nepal Government Railway from Raxaul to Amlekhganj, started its service in his tenure.
