The cost of the items, as a lower supply would mean each of the items would have to cost more, and a higher demand would also increase the value of the items since more people want it, they can't supply everyone.

The Roman Colosseum was started to be built in 70 AD, and it officially opened in 80 AD. The Romans wanted to increase their prestige, but also to make their people happy. One way of doing that was of building a huge Colosseum. The finished building was like an amphitheater, with seats around a central point. It was also used to hold meetings and other types of plays that didn't include fighting, like drama.
