I feel your struggle. I did a paper on archetypes a few months back and I could just not get it. I didn’t understand it!

But ever since spending those hours studying it, I finally get it.

An archetype is a type of character.
It could be a hero, a villain, a damsel in distress... you get where I’m going with this.
