The circumference of an Oreo is 6.28 inches what is the area of the top cookie?

Solution:

Circumference= 6.28 inches

The formula of circle =2πr

So, 2πr=6.28

2*3.14*r=6.28

6.28r=6.28

To find the value of r, Let us divide by 6.28 on both sides

6.28 r /6.28 =6.28/6.28

r=1

Area of circle=πr²

=π1²

=π

=3.14 inches²

Area of the top cookie=3.14 inches²

A senior class of 420 students will rent buses and vans for a class trip. Each bus can transport 50 students and 3 chaperones an
kykrilka [37]

Answer:

37 buses and 1 van.

Step-by-step explanation:

The cost to rent a van is $1200 for 50 students and 3 chaperones, while a bus for 10 students and a chaperone is $100 .

The cost of renting buses for 50 students is $500

What we do is rent 37 buses and 1 van

37 buses will take in 370 students with empty 2 spaces in 2 buses for chaperones since the chaperones are 36.

Then rent 1 van to take in 50 students and 1 chaperone.

The total cost here will be

$3700 + $1200 = $ 4900

This will help to safe cost.

Stels [109]

We will be using the formula: Speed = Wavelength * Frequency

1. Given:  Wavelength = 5 m     and     Frequency = 2 Hz

Speed of the wave = Wavelength * Frequency

Speed of the wave = 5 * 2

Speed of the wave = 10 m/s

__________________________________________________________

2. Given: Speed of the wave = 100 m/s   and    Frequency= 1000 Hz

Wavelength = Speed / Frequency

Wavelength = 100 / 1000

Wavelength = 0.1 m

__________________________________________________________

3. Given: Speed of the Wave = 25 m/s           Wavelength = 5 m

Frequency = Speed / Wavelength

Frequency = 25 / 5

Frequency = 5 Hz
