1) 33+a=12a
33 = 11a
33/11 = a
a = 3

2) <span>-6n+2=4n-5
</span>2 = 10n-5
7=10n
n = 7/10
n = 0,7

<span>3) 2.4b-7=b+15.4
</span><span>2.4b=b+22.4
</span>1.4b=22.4
b = 22.4/1.4
b = 16

Herbert has sold 99, 37, 86, and 73 copeirs in the last 4 months, respectivly. How many copiers will he need to sell this month
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

Therefore 80 ceperies will he need to sell this month.

Step-by-step explanation:

Average: Average is the ratio of sum of all numbers to the total number present in the data.

Given that Herbert has sold 99, 37, 86 and 73 copeirs in the last 4 months.

Let he need to sell x copeirs in this month.

According to the problem,

\frac{99+37+86+73+x}{5}=75

⇒ 99+37+86+73+x= 75×5

⇒295 + x= 375

⇒x = 375 - 295

⇒ x= 80

Therefore 80 ceperies will he need to sell this month.

Please help radical expression dividing
77julia77 [94]
\bf \cfrac{\sqrt[4]{63}}{4\sqrt[4]{6}}\qquad &#10;\begin{cases}&#10;63=3\cdot 3\cdot 7\\&#10;6=2\cdot 3&#10;\end{cases}\implies \cfrac{\sqrt[4]{3\cdot 3\cdot 7}}{4\sqrt[4]{2\cdot 3}}\implies \cfrac{\underline{\sqrt[4]{3}}\cdot \sqrt[4]{3}\cdot \sqrt[4]{7}}{4\sqrt[4]{2}\cdot \underline{\sqrt[4]{3}}}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\cfrac{\sqrt[4]{3}\cdot \sqrt[4]{7}}{4\sqrt[4]{2}}\implies \cfrac{\sqrt[4]{3\cdot 7}}{4\sqrt[4]{2}}\implies \cfrac{\sqrt[4]{21}}{4\sqrt[4]{2}}

\bf \textit{now, rationalizing the denominator}\\\\&#10;\cfrac{\sqrt[4]{21}}{4\sqrt[4]{2}}\cdot \cfrac{\sqrt[4]{2^3}}{\sqrt[4]{2^3}}\implies \cfrac{\sqrt[4]{21}\cdot \sqrt[4]{8}}{4\sqrt[4]{2}\cdot \sqrt[4]{2^3}}\implies \cfrac{\sqrt[4]{21\cdot 8}}{4\sqrt[4]{2\cdot 2^3}}\implies \cfrac{\sqrt[4]{168}}{4\sqrt[4]{2^4}}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\cfrac{\sqrt[4]{168}}{4\cdot 2}\implies \cfrac{\sqrt[4]{168}}{8}

and is all you can simplify from it.

so... all we did, was rationaliize it, namely, "getting rid of the pesky radical at the bottom", we do so by simply multiplying it by something that will raise the radicand, to the same degree as the root, thus the radicand comes out.

What does vertecis mean?
matrenka [14]
Vertices are the essentially the corners of a shape. For example, a circle has zero vertices because there are no corners. A square has four because is has four corners, etc.
