It is focused on organisms that are not commonly treated and are generally animals that have been extracted from their natural environment by illegal hunting or for species trafficking.

A very big difference is that in zoological medicine animals are cared for to remain healthy in this place, instead for the rehabilitation of fauna it is sought that the animals return to their natural habitat
