Answer:

when multiplying fractions, this is how you set them up:

1       1         1

_  x  _   =   _

5      3       15

Step-by-step explanation:

you multiply the numerators to get your numerator answer, and multiply your denominators to get your denominator answer.

If you wanted an example, say you had a pizza divided into 15 slices. Your friend has 3 slices and you have 5. What fraction did you both eat individually? Well, you ate 5/15, or, 1/3, because 5/15 simplified is 1/3. Your friend ate 3/15, or, 1/5, because 3/15 simplified is 1/5. I hope this helps and comes to you quickly.

The perimeter of an equilateral triangle is 12\/3 cm. Find the radius, apothem and area of the equilateral triangle.
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

<u><em>Radius -  </em></u>4

<u><em>Apothem -  </em></u>2

<u><em>Area - </em></u>12\sqrt{3} or 20.8

Step-by-step explanation:

Try to draw out my explanation so you know what this looks like.

~~~~
This is an equilateral triangle, so all sides are the same length. The perimeter can be divided by 3 to get each side length...
12\sqrt{3}  \div3 = 4\sqrt{3}
Now that we know the side lengths, we can get this started!
~~~~

Now, an equilateral triangle has angles that all equal 60 degrees. We can bisect this into TWO special case triangles of measures 90-60-30.

4 times the square root of 3 will be the hypotenuse, and the smallest leg is always half of that. The larger leg is represented as the small leg times the square root of 3.

Small=2\sqrt{3} \\Hypotenuse = 4\sqrt{3} \\Long =6

By the way, the formula for the area can be either of the two:

A= \frac{1}{2} bh\\or\\A = \frac{1}{2} NAS

we can easily find the area using the first formula.

A= \frac{1}{2} (4\sqrt{3} )(6)\\A=12\sqrt{3}

The radius is the distance from the center to the corners & the apothem is the distance from the center to a side...

So we can divide the big triangle into a mini triangle at the bottom left/right

The height (small leg) of that triangle would be the apothem

The hypotenuse of that triangle would be the radius.

I did the math really quick because this is getting long. Anyhow, the small leg is 2 so is the apothem, and the hypotenus is 4, so is the radius

<em>Happy April Fool's btw, lol.</em>

5. For the data in the table below, find the sum of the absolute deviations for the predicted values
Kipish [7]

Based on the absolute deviations and the predicted values, the sum of absolute deviations will be <u>4.8.</u>

<h3>What would be the sum of absolute deviations from predicted values?</h3>

This can be found as:

= ∑ (Observed value - Predicted value)

The observed values are given in the table and the predicted values will be calculated using y = 3.6x - 0.4.

Solving gives:

=  [3 - (3.6 x 1 - 0.4)] + [7 - (3.6 x 2 - 0.4)] + [ 9 - (3.6 x 3 - 0.4)] + [14 - (3.6 x 4 - 0.4)] + [15 - (3.6 x 5 - 0.4)] + [21 - (3.6 x 6 - 0.4)] + [25 - (3.6 x 7 - 0.4)]

= 0.2 + 0.2 + 1.4 + 0 + 2.6 + 0.2 + 0.2

= 4.8

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!! THATS ALL. I WILL GIVE POINTS, FAN, MEDAL. PLEASE, I AM SO BAD AT MATH
dezoksy [38]
Please try leaving out the "I'm so bad at math" part.  It doesn't help.

The given inequality is   <span>4x + y > −6.  Because of the > symbol, we must use a dashed line, not a solid one.  Let's solve this for y:    y > -4x - 6.

This (dashed) line has a slope of -4 and a y-intercept of (0,-6).

Plot (0,-6).  Then, with your pencil pt. on that, move 1 unit to the right and then 4 units down.  Plot a new point there, at (1, -10).  Draw your dashed line thru those 2 pts.  Then, because we have y > -4x - 6, shade the area ABOVE this line.  Done.</span>
