Summarize the bonding properties of carbon
notka56 [123]
Well, Carbon has 4 Valence Electrons. I'm sure you know this, but valance electrons allow electrons to covalently bond with one another. The elements, when sharing the electrons, want to have 8 valance electrons. So carbon has 4 valance electrons so it can bond with itself, or another say 4 hydrogen [becuase hydrogen can live with 2 valance electrons]. Hope this helps. Remember: Electrons <3 8 valance electron bonds Carbon's 4 + Carbon's 4= 8 true love at first bond! OR Carbon's 4+ Hydrogen's 1 [x4] = 8 hope this help

Animals and plants use the chemical energy stored carbohydrates to fuel their own life processes, ultimately breaking down these
Juliette [100K]

Answer:

A good example happens during the breakdown of food particles.

Explanation:

The chemical energy stored in food is a type of potential energy. Transformation of this energy into kinetic energy happens during chemical reactions that takes place during digestion. A good example of kinetic energy is therefore the breakdown of carbohydrates into carbon dioxide, water and heat.

What level of protein structure is created during protein syntheisis?
Zolol [24]

Answer:

The correct answer will be - Primary structure

Explanation:

Proteins are one of the biomolecules formed by the process of translation.

Depending on the function they attain many structures like primary, secondary, tertiary and Quaternary structure.

The primary structure is the simplest structure formed by binding the amino acids via peptide bonds in linear order. This simplest structure is formed by the process of translation in which tRNA brings specific amino acids to the nascent peptide.

Thus, Primary structure is the correct answer.
