Gun laws could protect us from criminals but harm us by putting guns in the wrong hands

The British tried to impose taxes on the colonies because King George III had spent a lot of money on the French and Indian War. The colonies were outraged. One of the most famous outcries was the Boston Tea Party (taxed tea was shipped out and a bunch of colonists dressed up as Indians decided to throw the tea into the ocean)
