Since DH=HF you set x+3=3y
<span>GH=HE so 4x-5=2y+3 </span>

<span>This gives you a system and I solved by substitution so I got x alone in the first equation-> x=3y-3 </span>
<span>then I plugged this x into the second equation so </span>

<span>4(3y-3)-5=2y+3 </span>
<span>12y-12-5=2y+3 </span>
<span>12y-17=2y+3 </span>
<span>10y=20 </span>
<span>y=2 </span>

<span>plug y into the first equation to find x </span>
<span>x=3(2)-3 </span>
<span>x=6-3 </span>
<span>x=3 </span>

<span>c. x=3, y=2</span>

<u>x</u><u> </u><u>=</u><u> </u><u>x</u><u> </u>

<u>2y - 3 =  \frac{ - 6 + 3y}{2}</u>

4y - 6 = -6 + 3y

4y - 3y = -6 + 6

y = 0

Putting value of y in ( iii )

x = 2y - 3

x = 2 ( 0 ) - 3

x = -3

Answer:

<h3>b=\frac{t-5}{4}</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

4b+5=t

First, you must get the variable alone! Substract 5 from both sides!

4b<u>+5=t </u>

    -5  -5

The 5 cancels out because 5-5=0

The new equation is 4b=t-5

You must divide by 4 to get the variable alone since your solving for b!

<u>4b=t-5</u>

4      4

b= \frac{t-5}{4} \\

This is your answer!
