Your friend, Taylor, missed class today and needs some help identifying solutions to systems. Explain to Taylor how to find the

solution(s) of any system using its graph.
will my answer be correct:
to find the solution(s) of any system using the graph you have to graph both equations in the same coordinate system. plug the values for x and y into the equation to see if they work for the equation. the solution has to be the point where the two lines intersect.

Solution:

If you want to find the solution of any system of equations graphically,

1. Plot the graph of both the equation in the same coordinate system.

2. Find the point of intersection.

Three cases comes into consideration, when you plot two lines in same coordinate system

1. If the two lines intersect, they have one point in Common.

2. The two lines may not intersect, and when they do not intersect, chances are

(a) The two lines are parallel, means they never touch each other when produced indefinitely in both the direction.

(b) The two lines may be coincident, means equation of both the lines are same, and one line completely covers the other line and vice versa and have infinite number of solutions.

Your answer is correct ,apart from the statement that you have asserted→→:plug the values for x and y into the equation to see if they work for the equation.

Why i am saying this, if the two lines have one point of intersection, it means that point is solution of the system of equation satisfying both the equations. So, you don't need to plug values of x and y into the equation to check, if you are solving graphically.

Answer: angle V = 41 degrees  (choice B)

======================================================

Explanation:

We're told that RS = ST = RT. This means triangle RST has all three sides equal to one another. This triangle is equilateral. Each interior angle is 60 degrees. This is because each angle is y, and y+y+y = 180.

Since each angle of triangle RST is 60 degrees, this means angle STR is 60 degrees.

Let z be the measure of angle UTV. Note how

(angleSTR)+(angleUTV) = 180

60+z = 180

z = 180-60

z = 120

Making angle UTV to be 120 degrees

------------------------------------

Now we can focus on triangle UTV since we have expressions for each interior angle

  • U = 4x-9
  • T = 120
  • V = 5x+6

Add up those angles, set the sum equal to 180, solve for x

U+T+V = 180

(4x-9)+(120)+(5x+6) = 180

9x+117 = 180

9x = 180-117

9x = 63

x = 63/9

x = 7

Use that x value to find the missing angle measures

angle U = 4x-9 = 4*7-9 = 28-9 = 19 degrees

angle V = 5x+6 = 5*7+6 = 35+6 = 41 degrees

Note how

U+T+V = 19+120+41 = 180

which helps confirm our answer.
