In the case below, the original source material is given along with a sample of student work. Determine the type of plagiarism..

Original Source MaterialThe selected memories, nevertheless, both from her childhood and from Sally's do coalesce, or at least indicate a very clear thematic focus: primarily death, and, to a smaller extent, writing, creation, the power of words-two aspects where this book originates in: the trauma of death as a source of writing--and, as a result, as a means of creating one's self, the autobiographical subject, or the subject of this autobiography.References:Séllei, N., (2009) The mother in mourning as the subject of autobiography in Rosamond Lehmann's The swan in the evening: Fragments of an inner life. In A. O'Reilly, & S. Caporale-Bizzini (Eds.). From the personal to the political: Toward a new theory of maternal narrative (pp. 170-182). Cranbury, NJ: Susquehanna University Press.Student VersionThe distress caused by death can serve as a source for writing and writing can be seen as a way of creating one's self. It this way, death may be seen as the source of the autobiographical subject, which contrasts with our notions of an autobiography: the story of an individual's life.Which of the following is true for the Student Version above?A. Answer:

C. This is not plagiarism

Explanation:

Plagiarism is the process in which a writer copies the ideas and concept of any previous written idea and claim them to be his own. In case when the writer forgets to give the reference or do not cite the source, also comes under the case of plagiarism. In the above case, the idea given by the original source and the idea of the student is very different. The student does not copy the idea from the source, rather he/she is trying to exert his/her ideas out of the given idea.

brilliants [131]

Answer: Option C: "People must always engage in war in order to be free."

Explanation: The whole point of Key was to convey a point of freedom, especially since the setting of being a prisoner on a British ship and seeing a naval fortification getting absolutely destroyed, the American flag still stood. Plus the whole point on a freeman must stand, in order to deter the enemy's thoughts from his property and family. And all of that ties in with C.

Cheers, man.

18. "... Thousands at [God's] bidding speed/And post o'er land and ocean without rest:/They also serve who only stand and wait."
kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

C) A person does not have to accomplish great things to serve God.

Explanation:

These are last lines from John Milton’s (9 December 1608 – 8 November 1674) one of the most famous short poems  "When I Consider How My Light is Spent" or alternatively known as “On His Blindness”.

In the context of these lines Milton compares God with a King and contrasts Him with a lord. In these lines Milton says that God has innumerable (thousands) working at his state moving speedily from place to place (Thousands at his bidding speed). These tasks need men to have light and vision. Since God has innumerable resources he does not need every one to do an active work. Sometimes God also appoints some people on standby and work when the right time comes.

In brief, Milton being previously very active in social and political matters of the country knows that working actively for God is a good deed. But those who are physically hampered (like Milton) also serve God in waiting for their turn to accomplish a task when it is assigned.
