Two jet planes simultaneously started traveling in opposite directions from the same airport. Four hours later they were 3800 mi

les apart. Find the rate of each plane, if one of them traveled 80 miles per hour faster than the other.

Answer:

Rate of travelling of the 2 planes = 435 mph and 515 mph

Step-by-step explanation

d1 + d2 = 3800     (where d1 and d2 are the distances travelled by  each plane).

Let v1 = velocity of first plane so v1 + 80 will be velocity of the second)

They both travelled for 4 hours

Distance = time * speed.

So  d1 = 4v1  and  d2 = 4(v1 + 80)

Substituting for d1 and d2 in the first equation:-

4v1 + 4(v1 + 80) = 3800

8v1 + 320 = 3800

8v1 =  3480

v1 =  435 mph

and  v1 + 80 = 515 mph

P= 14413.49<br> R= 0.0015<br> T= 36<br><br> What is I= Prt
tamaranim1 [39]

Answer: I = 778. 33

Step-by-step explanation:

P= 14413.49

R= 0.0015

T= 36

The formula for calculating interest is given as :

I = PRT

substituting the given values , we have :

I = 14413.49 x 0.0015 x 36

I = 778.32846

I = 778. 33

Indicate whether the statement is true of false.
yawa3891 [41]

The statement is false, as the system can have no solutions or infinite solutions.

<h3>Is the statement true or false?</h3>

The statement says that a system of linear equations with 3 variables and 3 equations has one solution.

If the variables are x, y, and z, then the system can be written as:

a_1*x + b_1*y + c_1*z = d_1\\\\a_2*x + b_2*y + c_2*z = d_2\\\\a_3*x + b_3*y + c_3*z = d_3

Now, the statement is clearly false. Suppose that we have:

a_1 = a_2 = a_3\\b_1 = b_2 = b_3\\c_1 = c_2 = c_3\\\\d_1 \neq d_2 \neq  d_3

Then we have 3 parallel equations. Parallel equations never do intercept, then this system has no solutions.

Then there are systems of 3 variables with 3 equations where there are no solutions, so the statement is false.

The distance from around the Earth along a given latitude can be found using the formula C=2∏r cos L , where r is the radius of
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

The distance reduces to 0 as you go from 0° to 90°

Step-by-step explanation:

The question requires you to find the distance using different values of L and check the trend of the values.

Given C=2×pi×r×cos L where L is the latitude  in ° and r is the radius in miles then;

Taking r=3960 and L=0° ,

C=2×\pi×3960×cos 0°

C=2×\pi×3960×1

C=7380\pi

Taking L=45° and r=3960 then;

C= 2×\pi×3960×cos 45°

C=5600.28\pi

Taking L=60° and r=3960 then;

C=2×\pi×3960×cos 60°

C=3960\pi

Taking L=90° and r=3960 then;

C=2×\pi×3960×cos 90°

C=2×\pi×3960×0

C=0

Conclusion

The values of the distance from around the Earth along a given latitude decreases with increase in the value of L when r is constant
