Answer:

A. The area is 78.54m^2

B. She needs to cover 1661.9 square feet of tiles for the base of the swimming pool

Step-by-step explanation:

Question A:

Let us assume that the leash is pegged to the ground using a stake. as a result, the dog can move around the stake. The path that the motion of the dog would trace is a circle, and the radius of the circle will be the length of the leash.

Since we know this, we can easily find the area of the circle using \pi r^2

Area of the circle = \pi \times 5 \times 5 = 78.54m^2

Question B

Dulce wants to cover the whole surface area of the floor of the circular swimming pool with tiles.

We already know that the swimming pool is circular, hence, the surface area of the base of the swimming pool will be the same as the area of a circle, with the same radius.

The area of the circle can be calculated using \pi r^2

Area of circle = \pi \times 23 \times 23 = 1661.9ft^2

SUMAR
charle [14.2K]

Answer:

56 + 23 + (-5)

you want to expand the bracket first

23 + (-5)

23-5 = 18

56 + 18 = 74

a) 74

6 + 24 + (-2)

24 - 2= 22

6 + 22 = 28

b) 28

3 + 7 + (-42)

7 - 42 = -35

3 - 35 = -32

c)-32

( 8 + 1 ) + (-3)

+(-3) = -3

9 - 3 = 6

d)6

( 7 + 10 ) + ( 3 + 1 )

17 + 4 = 21

e)21

59 + 2+ (-6)

2+(-6) = 2-6 = -4

59-4

55

f)55

41 + ( -89)

41 - 89

= - 48

g)-48

( - 13) + 33

-13+33

= 20

h) 20

Composite: 15.    1×15 obviously. also   3×5

Tyree is determining the distance of a segment whose endpoints are A(–4, –2) and B(–7, –7).
insens350 [35]

Answer:

√34

Step-by-step explanation:

Use distance formula: d = \sqrt{(x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2}

d = \sqrt{(-7+4)^2 + (-7 +2)^2} = √34

Hich is the equation of a hyperbola with directrices at x = ±2 and foci at (5, 0) and (−5, 0)? y squared over 40 minus x squared
Novay_Z [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The foci are horizontally aligned, so the hyperbola is horizontal. The center is midway between foci, at (0,0).

y²/a² - x²/b² = 1

a² + b² = 5²

Directrices: x=± a²/5 = ±2

a=√10

b = √15

y²/10 - x²/15 = 1
