Poetry in itself is diverse. Stylistic conventions embellish verse. The right answer to this question is B. a Sonnet. It cannot be said that a poem is predictable, but the Petrarchan sonnet addressed themes of love, whereas the Shakesperean sonnet consists of three quatrians which develop an idea and the final couplet has a turn or surprising twist. The sonnet best fits the function described.
