On the other hand, the Incas would rely on Divination to look for knowledge of the future. They relied on this practice seeking to diagnose illnesses, investigate crimes, decide the sacrifices that were to be made to gods, inform people of social events, and the like.

Incas used to consult oracles, observe the movements of a spider and the coca leaves and drink ayahuasca (which is an hallucinogen tea) in order to have the answers they were seeking.
