Help me with 24,26,28, and 30 please.
Novay_Z [31]
24)
The number 1/10 can be expressed as a decimal by dividing the top number by the bottom.
1/10=0.1
0.8>0.1
0.8>1/10

26)
The number 3/5 can also be expressed as a decimal, using the method I described for 24.
3/5=0.6
0.6>0.35
3/5>0.35

28)
The number 2/5 can also be expressed as a decimal.
2/5=0.4
0.4>0.3
2/5>0.3

30)
The number 1/6 cannot be expressed as a decimal. So, express 0.2 as a fraction.
0.2=2/10=1/5
1/5=6/30
1/6=5/30
6/30>5/30
0.2>1/6

Hope this helps!

If 3x + 4y = 10 and 2x + 3y = 6, then x + y = ?
zavuch27 [327]

Answer:

x + y = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the 2 equations

3x + 4y = 10 → (1)

2x + 3y = 6 → (2)

Subtract (2) from (1) term by term on both sides

x + y = 4

The sequence an = 8, 13, 18, 23, ... is the same as the sequence a1 = 8, an = an-1 + 5.
harkovskaia [24]
Actually, this answer would be true. Why?

The first equation is: a(sub n) = 8, 13, 18, 23

The second is: a(sub 1)=8 ; a(sub n)= a(sub n-1)+5
if you wish to find the second term, plug two into the equation for n
8+5=13
to find the third, plug the second term, 13, in for n.
13+5=18.

Hope this helped! I know it's a bit on the late side, but at least you can get the general idea!
