The Native Americans really never had peace again after the incident between the Europens and them, and never got to live the way they used to because of the Europeans. Their lives were changed forever and never got to live in peace and harmony on their homeland ever again.

Because the humans had more spare time with the settled lifestyle, they were able to engage in other activities, mostly things that were going to benefit them in their daily lives. The creation of pottery was one of those things. The pottery was very practical, relatively easy to make, and the material for it was in abundance. The humans used it for cooking, for eating, for drinking, keeping things in it. Because of this, the pottery creation saw a significant increase, and it is no wonder that it is by far the most abundant archaeological thing found.
