Why isn’t this an effective visual aid for the speech?
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

D. The image is confusing and doesn't clarify the information.

Explanation:

This image seems to be a random listing of statistics. However, we don't actually know what it's about. The man in the image looks surprised as if the information listed on the left is shocking. The exclamation points also indicate the shocking nature of the details. However, since we don't know what they are referring to, they are just confusing.

What is one method of destroying factions that Madison rejects, even though he says it would work?
Andrej [43]

Letter A is the correct answer.

Madison knew factions were inevitable and needed to be controlled. Even though Madison knew that destroying people's ability to form factions was a method that would work, he did NOT find it acceptable. He rejected it because he believed it would take away their liberty, and liberty was essential. Madison believed that controlling the effects was the best alternative to the problem.

Write an interpretive essay that analyzes literature from the perspective of a quotation. In your essay, interpret the quotation
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

What is Literature?

Poems, novels, and stories; are some of the things that first came to my mind upon pondering on the question 'What is Literature?'. And just lately I have known that literature also includes songs, speeches, plays, and many others in written and spoken forms. I have also known that things that are produced out of creative imagination can be referred to as literary works which are the ones that comprise literature. Considering this description of what literature is, the coverage of literature seems very puzzling. If literary works are those produced out of creative imagining, then it would directly point to fictional works.

Take for example the views of two individuals coming from different places in a novel based on the culture of one. It would likely be the same if their culture and beliefs are quite related but if not, then they would surely have different understandings of certain parts of that novel. Hence, defining literature as those considered by people as ‘literature’ is questionable.

Eagleton also associated literature with any kind of work that is valued highly by people. But then again, since people may have different perceptions of things, one may value highly a certain work while another person may consider it just as plain writing. As stated by Ms. Pinzon, a literature professor, a personal letter can be an example of this. The recipient of the letter can be expected to value the letter while her classmate may not. Hence, this can’t define literature as a whole.

Then, what is literature? Many great critics have tried formulating a fixed definition of literature but have failed to do so. With the rise of every possible definition of what literature is, counterarguments also rise.

Literature, though it seems impossible to enumerate everything it covers, plays an important role in every individual's life. One can influence using literature or be influenced by it. Examples of these are the novels made by our very own national hero, Jose Rizal – the Noli Me Tangeri and El Filibusterismo. During his time, Rizal has contributed essays, allegories, poems, and editorials to the Spanish newspaper La Solidaridad in Barcelona

1. What law directly affects your economic choices?
Naily [24]

Answer:

There are many laws that affect economic choices because law, which is an effort to regulate society and human behaviour, is closely related to economics, since economics is about the actions of human in society.

Explanation:

For example, labor laws affect economic choices because they regulate the wage that you may receive, the amount of maximum hours that you may work, and even, the places and the type of jobs that you may take.

Another example is taxes. Taxes are imposed by laws, and they regulate economic activity by taking some of your income, keeping you from doing something else with that income: for example, saving it or investing it.
