During which stage of aerobic respiration is the most atp made

Biology
1 answer:
never [62]3 years ago
4 0

Aerobic respiration consists of 3 parts:

1. Glycolysis - you make 2 ATP in this stage

2. Krebs Cycle (also called TCA Cycle) - you make 0 ATP in this stage (but lots of really important intermediates!)

3. Oxidative Phosphorylation - this stage uses the electron transport chain and you make a LOT of ATP in this stage.

So...your answer is Oxidative Phosphorylation!

Skin and nerve cells have different appearances and characteristics from each other, although they contain the same DNA. Why? A.
meriva
I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is option A. Skin and nerve cells have different appearances and characteristics from each other, although they contain the same DNA because the genes expressed in inskin cells may not be expressed in nerve cells and vise versa.

Which of the following is NOT a function of receptors?
Mademuasel [1]

Answer:

The characteristic that is not a function of the receptors is to receive glucose molecules.

Explanation:

The receptors are structures made up of proteins or glycoproteins whose function is to <u>receive specific signals</u>, which determine intracellular changes and promote an effect or action.

Most of the receptors are located on the surface of the cells, serve for cell recognition and are capable of receiving stimuli from neurotransmitters and hormones.

Glucose is a biomolecule that does not constitute a stimulus or possess a specific receptor and enters the cell with the use of a specific transporter.
