What is the answer to F(x)=6+3x

Mathematics
1 answer:
masha68 [24]3 years ago
4 0

(F)=6+3F

We move all terms to the left:

(F)-(6+3F)=0

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

F-(3F+6)=0

We get rid of parentheses

F-3F-6=0

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

-2F-6=0

We move all terms containing F to the left, all other terms to the right

-2F=6

F=6/-2

F=-3

I don’t know if it is right but I hope this helps :)

Ruby uses 1/4 yard of ribbon to make 2 bows.Which expression shows the length of ribbon in each bow?
allochka39001 [22]
What you can do in this case is a rule of three to determine the length of each bow.
 We have then:
 1/4 ---> 2
 x ------> 1
 Clearing x we have:
 x = (1/2) * (1/4)
 x = 1/8
 Answer:
 the length of ribbon in each bow is
 x = 1/8
 Equivalently:
 x = (1/4) / 2

Find the length of the third side. If necessary, write in simplest radical form. 9 5
tigry1 [53]

Step-by-step explanation:

(9) {}^{2}   = (5) {}^{2}  + (x) {}^{2}  \\ 81 = 25 +  {x}^{2}  \\  {x}^{2}  = 56 \\ x = 2 \sqrt{14}  = 7.4

A flyer is spread by people at a large conference. Within one hour, the first person gives a stack of flyers to six people. With
Mandarinka [93]

Answer:

In summation form \sum_{n = 1} ^{5} 6(6)^{n - 1}

Step-by-step explanation:

Within one hour, the first person gives a stack of flyers to six people and within the next hour, those six people give a stack of flyers to six new people.

So, in the first 5 hours, the summation of people that receive a stack of flyers not including the initial person will be given by

6 + (6 × 6) + (6 × 6 × 6) + (6 × 6 × 6 × 6) + (6 × 6 × 6 × 6 × 6).

So, in summation form \sum_{n = 1} ^{5} 6(6)^{n - 1}

Therefore, Sigma-Summation Underscript n = 1 Overscript 5 EndScripts 6 (6) Superscript n minus 1, gives the correct solution. (Answer)
