Answer:

If he divide the trail mix among 8 hikers equally each will get 48/8 = 6 ounces.

Step-by-step explanation:

He makes a trail mix . He mixed 1 1/8 pounds of peanuts , 12 ounces of raisins, 11 ounces of walnuts and 7 ounces of pretzels. Notice the weight units are not equal to we have to convert the pounds to ounces so all the weight will be in ounces.

1 pound  = 16 ounces

1 1/8 pounds = ? ounces

cross multiply

1 1/8 × 16

9/8 × 16 = 18 ounces

Therefore,

His trail mix are

18 ounces of peanuts

12 ounces of raisins

11 ounces of walnuts

7 ounces of pretzels

The total weight = 18 + 12 + 11 + 7 = 48 ounces

Weight of the trail mix = 48 ounces

If he divide the trail mix among 8 hikers equally each will get 48/8 = 6 ounces.

Let c\in(0,\infty). Then the definite integral can be split up at t=c so that

\displaystyle F(x)=\int_{t=2x}^{t=5x}\frac{\mathrm dt}t
\displaystyle=\int_{t=2x}^{t=c}\frac{\mathrm dt}t+\int_{t=c}^{t=5x}\frac{\mathrm dt}t
\displaystyle=-\int_{t=c}^{t=2x}\frac{\mathrm dt}t+\int_{t=c}^{t=5x}\frac{\mathrm dt}t

Now take the derivative. By the fundamental theorem of calculus, you have

\displaystyle\frac{\mathrm dF}{\mathrm dx}=\frac{\mathrm d}{\mathrm dx}\left[\int_{t=c}^{t=5x}\frac{\mathrm dt}t-\int_{t=c}^{t=2x}\frac{\mathrm dt}t\right]
=\displaystyle\frac1{5x}\dfrac{\mathrm d}{\mathrm dx}[5x]-\frac1{2x}\dfrac{\mathrm d}{\mathrm dx}[2x]
=\dfrac5{5x}-\dfrac2{2x}
=\dfrac1x-\dfrac1x
=0

Then integrating with respect to x, we recover F(x) and find that

\displaystyle\int\dfrac{\mathrm dF}{\mathrm dx}\,\mathrm dx=\int0\,\mathrm dx
F(x)=C

where C is an arbitrary constant.

James pays $120.00 for golf clubs that are on sale for 20% off at Golf Pros. At Nine Iron, the same clubs cost $8.00 less than t
Misha Larkins [42]
The original price of the clubs will be $135.

If the clubs at Nine Iron are $8 less than Golf Pros, they are 112.
120 - 8 = 112

Now, we just have to find the original price. We can write and solve the equation below to find the original price.

x (0.83) = 112    Divide both sides by 0.83

x = $135

Keith plans to buy a car in the future. He currently has $3000 saved up to buy a car. How much money does he need to save per mon
Brut [27]

Answer:

about $709 per month

Step-by-step explanation:

Okay, so in order to solve this question, we should follow this formula:

3,000 + 24x \geq 20,000

where 24 is the amount of time we have and x is the variable we are using as to show the unknown amount of money earned per month.

3,000 + 24x \geq 20,000

-3,000               -3,000

24x \geq 17,000

/24           /24

x \geq approximately 709 dollars

so, we substitute x for 709

3,000 + 24(709) \geq 20,000

3,000 + 17,016 \geq 20,000

20,016 \geq 20,000

which is true

Hope this helps :)
