Semi-conservative means:
The replication of a DNA molecule, when the two complementary DNA strands are separated. It is usually fulfilled by special proteins that unwind the molecule and expose the nucleotide bases.
New complementary DNA strands are then synthesized by joining together deoxribonucleotide triphosphates, one at a time, and with the removal of a di-phosphate. At the end of the process, the cell as made two identical copies of all the biological information contained on the original parental, DNA molecule, but the two daughter molecules are Half-old and Half-new. Half the original DNA molecule is saved in the daughter molecules. This is why it's called Semi-conservative! Hope that this helped!

Which process is major source of oxygen released into the atmosphere?
Vanyuwa [196]
The correct answer is Photosynthesis. It is a process found in plants that enables them to turn light into chemical energy. Luckily for us, the the waste product for plants in this is Oxygen which is released into the atmosphere. The more plants there are the more oxygen there is. That's just one more reason why cutting down the rainforests is extremely dangerous for the future of humanity on Earth.

The data about leg size in the parental generation is NOT found here, but it is expected that it is a quantitative trait.

What are quantitative traits?

Quantitative traits are phenotypic features associated with the inheritance of many genes, the infection among them and the environment.

Leg size, height, and weight are quantitative traits because there are many genes involved in their expression patterns.

Both quantitative and qualitative (monogenic) traits are selected in the natural populations via natural selection.

In conclusion, it is expected that leg size is a quantitative trait.

Describe the process involved when the human eye views an object
jekas [21]

Answer:

How the eye view an object.

As the object appear before the eye,

Light enter the cornea, the domeshape that cover the front eye.

The light then enter the pupil through the cornea.

The light then hit the eye lens, a transparent structure that focuses the light through the virteous humour, a gel like substance that surrond the retina.

The retina then receive the light that was focused by the eyes lens and transform it to electrical impulses.

The electrical impulses is then transmitted to the person through the optic nerve,

The optic nerve then interpret it as the object view.

Explanation.

Eyes are organs of the visual system. They provide both humans and animals with the ability to receive and process visual information, thereby enabling different photo response functions that are independent of vision. Eyes detect light and convert it to electrical impulses in neurons. The optic nerve then send it to the brain which is then is interpreted as what is seen.
