Answer:

The text <em>Tiny Plastic, Big Problem </em>is discussing the environmental issues of plastic pollution and how the problem are mostly hidden from public view.

Plastics are not easily degradable because they don't break down totally but only in smaller pieces. The small pieces go to other places such as the oceans and seas and get washed up to shore and some even meld with rocks.

What is the likely reason experts have found less plastic floating in the ocean than they expected?

Scientists have found less plastic floating in the ocean than expected because the plastic gets smaller and become more difficult to detect, hence the danger of being attached to a living thing.

<u><em>"So far, though, experts haven’t found as much plastic floating in the oceans as they expected. . .the smaller a plastic bit becomes, the more likely it will make its way into a living thing. . .and that may spell some real trouble"</em></u>

No, because excitement is an emotion. When something is “very exciting” it causes extreme joy. Interest is something that makes you curious. When something is “very interesting” it causes one to seek out more information, which in some scenarios may cause excitement.
