Answer:

Ascomycota

Explanation:

The phylum Ascomycota is the largest phylum in the Kingdom Fungi. Examples are Yeast, Aspergillus, Neurospora, Members of Ascomycota are called ‘sac fungi’ due to the formation of an ascus, a sac-like structure that contains haploid ascospores. During sexual reproduction, thousands of asci (singular; ascus) are formed in a fruiting body called the ascocarp. The diploid nucleus gives rise to haploid nuclei by meiosis. The ascospores are formed in each ascus after meiosis. On maturity, ascospores are released in the new environment and germinate to form hyphae and start new mycelia.

What ultimately happens to the light energy captured during photosynthesis?
Degger [83]

Answer:

The correct answer is- It is used to produce glucose molecule

Explanation:

Photosynthesis is a process in which light energy is captured by chlorophyll which is then used to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose. Oxygen is also produced as a by-product in this process.

The light energy is used to split water into oxygen, hydrogen ions and release electrons from it. The electrons pass through many electron carriers through photosystem II and I and ultimately reduce NADH+ to NADPH which is used in the Calvin cycle to produce glucose.

Therefore glucose is produced by the help of light energy captured during photosynthesis.
