Hi

2(3x-1) = 9(x-2)-7

6x-2 = 9x-18-7

6x-9x = 2-18-7

  -3x = -23

      x =  23/3

The weight of one serving of trail mix is 2.5 ounces. How many servings are there in 22.5 ounces of trail mix?
Verdich [7]

Answer:

9 servings

There should be an answer to that. Answer: There are 9 servings. step- by- step Explanation: We would first divide 22.5/2.5. This will give us the amount of time 2.5 will go into 22.5, providing us with the amount of servings

X = length of third side
The third side is unknown and can't be determined to be one fixed number. However, we can find a set of values or a range of acceptable values

If we know that
a = 6
b = 7
are the two given sides, then we can say

b-a < x < b+a
7-6 < x < 7+6
1 < x < 13

So the third side x can be between 1 and 13.
The third side cannot be equal to 1 unit or 13 units because a triangle would not form. Instead a straight line would form.

Note: This idea is using the triangle inequality theorem

Solve the equation below.<br> 3(17x – 6.5) = 108
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

x=2.5

Step-by-step explanation:

3(17x – 6.5) = 108

Divide each side by 3

3/3(17x – 6.5) = 108/3

17x - 6.5 =36

Add 6.5 to each side

17x -6.5+6.5=36+6.5

17x = 42.5

Divide each side by 17

17x/17 = 42.5/17

x = 2.5

Using the binomial distribution, it is found that there is a 0.7447 = 74.47% probability that fewer than 7 of them show up.

<h3>What is the binomial distribution formula?</h3>

The formula is:

P(X = x) = C_{n,x}.p^{x}.(1-p)^{n-x}

C_{n,x} = \frac{n!}{x!(n-x)!}

The parameters are:

  • x is the number of successes.
  • n is the number of trials.
  • p is the probability of a success on a single trial.

In this problem, the values of the parameters are given as follows:

p = 0.7, n = 8.

The probability that fewer than 7 of them show up is given by:

[tec]P(X < 7) = 1 - P(X \geq 7)[/tex]

In which:

P(X \geq 7) = P(X = 7) + P(X = 8)

Then:

P(X = x) = C_{n,x}.p^{x}.(1-p)^{n-x}

P(X = 7) = C_{8,7}.(0.7)^{7}.(0.3)^{1} = 0.1977

P(X = 8) = C_{8,8}.(0.7)^{8}.(0.3)^{0} = 0.0576

Then:

P(X \geq 7) = P(X = 7) + P(X = 8) = 0.1977 + 0.0576 = 0.2553

[tec]P(X < 7) = 1 - P(X \geq 7) = 1 - 0.2553 = 0.7447[/tex]

0.7447 = 74.47% probability that fewer than 7 of them show up.
