Hello,

Here i am using vectors

\vec{AB}=\vec{DC}=3\vec{i}+3\vec{j}
==> AB//DC and AD//BC (definition of a translation)

The quadrilater ABCD is a parallelogram:
so
1) his diagonals have the same length;

2) his diagonals are cutting in the middle.

(these are proprieties of a parallelogram)

the area of a parallelogram is 36x^6y^5. if the base of the parallelogram is 3xy^2,what is the height of the parallelogram asap
trapecia [35]

Answer:

h = 12x^5y^3

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a parallelogram is found using A = b*h. Substitute the values given and solve for h.

A = b*h

36x^6 y^5 = 3xy^2 * h

36x^6 y^5 ÷ 3xy^2 = h

12x^5y^3 = h

Pentagon CDEFG is shown on the coordinate plane. Pentagon CDEFG is translated 7 units up and 5 units left, resulting in C'D'E'F'
Sati [7]

Answer:

The length of line segment FG is equal to the length of F'G'

The perimeter of pentagon CDEFG is equal to the perimeter of pentagon C'D'E'F'G.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

CDEFG and C'D'E'F'G

Translation: 7 units up and 5 units left

Solving (a): Segment FG and F'G'

When a shape is translated, the resulting image will have the same lengths as the original image (i.e, translation does not change measurements)

Hence:

FG = F'G'

Solving (b): Perimeter CDEFG and C'D'EF'G'

In (a), we established that lengths do not change during translation;

Hence:

The perimeter of the CDEFG and C'D'EF'G' will remain the same

Answer:

 (C) Step 1: 15x − 20 = 1; Step 2: 15x = 21

Step-by-step explanation:

The first step is to eliminate the parentheses, using the distributive property.

 5(3x − 4) = 1

 15x -20 = 1

The second step is to add 20 to both sides of the equation.

 15x = 21

This pair of steps is shown in the 3rd choice.

_____

Comment on the answers

The distributive property seems to be applied incorrectly a lot of the time. Here, you can choose the correct answer by looking at the result of properly applying the distributive property: 5(3x-4) = 15x-20. Only the correct choice has this as the first step.

How you use a coordinate plane in area and perimeter probelms
zimovet [89]

Answer:

To use the coordinate plane to help you find the perimeter and area of various shapes, you first draw the shape on the coordinate plane and then you count the number of unit squares the shape takes up. For the perimeter, it's the number of unit squares that go around the shape.
