We first must solve for the rate:Rate = 10<span>^[(log[Ending Amount / Beginning Amount] ÷ time)]</span><span>  -1
</span>Rate = 10^[(log(34,000 / 17,000) / 26)] -1Rate = 10^[log(2) / 26] -1Rate = 10^[0.30102999566 / 26] -1Rate = (10^ <span> <span> <span> 0.0115780768) -1
</span></span></span>Rate = <span> <span> <span> 1.0270180507</span></span></span>-1Rate = <span><span>.0270180507 </span>
</span>
Now for the 2010 population:<span>2010 Amount = 2000 Amount × (1 + rate) </span>time
<span> </span> 2010 Amount =17,000 * (1.<span>0270180507)^10
</span>2010 Amount =17,000 * <span> <span> <span> 1.3055116977 </span> </span> </span> 2010 Amount = <span> <span> <span> 22,194
</span></span></span>

How many milliliters of 0.30%. sugar solution must you add to 75 mL of 4% sugar solution to get a 0.50% sugar solution? show you
LekaFEV [45]
<span>We have 75 mL of 4% sugar solution.
We have to add a 30% sugar </span><span>solution to make a 50% </span><span>sugar solution.
75 * .04 + .30x = .50 * (75 +x)
3 + .30x = 37.5 +.50x
I can't get the equation to solve.
Did you type it correctly? For one thing, you have the percentages typed as .30 % and 4%.  Are the decimal places in the correct positions?

Also, no matter how much 30% sugar solution you add, it will NEVER increase to 50%.

maksim [4K]

Answer:

\frac{4}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

If you have completed 5 questions, you still have 25-5=20 more questions to answer. We need to find what fraction 20 is of 25, if that makes sense. A fraction is simply a part over a whole. In this case, the part is 20 and the whole is 25. Therefore, the fraction we are looking for is \frac{20}{25}, which simplifies to \frac{4}{5}. Hope this helps!
