How do you round a repeating decimal to the nearest hundredth

Mathematics

You would round it like any other decimal number to the nearest hundredth by referring to the thousandths place. If the thousands place is 5 to 9, you would round the hundredths place up by one and cut any remaining values to the right of it. If the thousands place is 0 to 4, you would leave the hundredths place at the value it is and cut any remaining values to the right of it.

Examples:

13.374848 rounds to 13.37

12.1792 rounds to 12.18

Write a word description of the set.
pychu [463]

Answer:  negative integers greater than -10

This is because stuff on the number line to the right is larger than stuff on the left. We can say 2 < 7 since 7 is to the right of 2.

Also, -7 < -2 for similar reasoning.

Saying integers greater than -10 excludes this endpoint. We stop once we reach -1 because 0 and anything larger aren't negative integers.

Lamar made 6 identical necklaces, each having beads and a pendant. The total cost of the beads and pendants for all 6 necklaces
prisoha [69]

Answer:

3.50

Step-by-step explanation:

Necklace has beads and a pendant

b +p

There are 6 necklaces at a cost pf 43.80

6(b+p) =43.80

The beads for one necklace cost 3.80 so replace b with 3.80

6(3.80+p) =43.80

Divide each side by 6

6(3.80+p)/6 =43.80/6

3.80 +p = 7.30

Subtract 3.80 from each side

3.80+p-3.80 = 7.30 -3.80

p =3.50

What is the simplified expression for 3a^2+9ab+5-4a^2-4ab +3?
seraphim [82]

Answer:

-4a^2+4ab+8

Step-by-step explanation:

our expression is

3a^2+9ab+5-4a^2-4ab+3

we are asked to simplify the expression

in order to that we first bring the like terms together

like terms are those having the same variable or same combination of variables with exactly same degrees

Hence it would be like

3a^2-4a^2+9ab-4ab+5+3

now we simplify the like terms

3a^2-4a^2=-4a^2

9ab-4ab=4ab

5+3=8

Hence

3a^2-4a^2+9ab-4ab+5+3=-4a^2+4ab+8
