people have eating disorders for many different reasons depression, anxiety, trauma, internal or external body problems, too much food or lack there of. people can eat or over eat for alot of reasons to feel, safe, happy, calm, love or to supress those emotions. a common eating disorder is anorexia.

anorexia straight defenition lack or loss of appetite for food (as a medical condition). an emotional disorder characterized by an obsessive desire to lose weight by refusing to eat. they accomplish this by starving and excessive exercising. thankfully there is a treatment for this it helps patients appreciate their body and give them the desire to eat food while keeping them on a steady watch useing menus and food diaries and constantly weighing the patient so they won't die.

some are easier to cure then others some take longer and some are shorter. sometimes its taking away the supplier for overweight people and giveing therapy to depressed people. other time doctors and medication has to be involved and thankfully it exsists to take care of patients in need.
