Edgar Allan Poe (born in Boston, Massachusetts, us, January 19, 1809 - died in Baltimore, Maryland, us, October 7, 1849, at the age of 40) was a poet, story writer, editor, critic and one amongst the leaders of the American Romantic Movement. Known for his macabre works, Poe was one amongst the earliest practitioners of writing short stories in America and a pioneer of detective and crime fiction. He also received recognition for his contribution to the genre of fantasy.

He is the primary famous writer from the us to induce income only from writing. Therefore, his financial and career conditions also face many obstacles. Poe died at the age of 40 thanks to unclear reasons, mainly suspected of alcohol, drugs, cholera, rabies and other things.

Poe was later taken by John and Frances Allan from Richmond, Virginia. They never officially adopted Poe, but still cared for him well into adulthood. Tension arises between John Allan and Edgar Poe associated with debts arising from gambling and Poe's school fees. Edgar Poe then entered the University of Virginia but had to depart a year later because he had no money. Edgar Poe also argued with John Allan about his school funds and decided to enlist within the Army in 1827.

That's when Poe's writing career began after he published a group of anonymous short stories titled Tamerlane and Other Poems (1827), under the name 'a Boston'. Edgar Poe and John Allan later made peace for ages after the death of Frances Allan in 1829. Poe then did not become a cadet officer and expressed a robust desire to become a writer and writer.
