What was the most significant impact of the Spanish-American war on South Carolina

South Carolina provided supplies and recruits during the Spanish American War.  Majority of the males living there signed up and joined the army when war was declared.  They also had a training camp in South Carolina where the troops were drilled before they were sent off to fight I the war.

To us Brits the rebels seemed greedy and ungrateful so obviously wouldn't support them.</span><span>
