The correct answer is: "giving the right to vote to all American males".

The Fifteenth Amendment to the US Constitution was one of the Reconstruction Amendments, enacted in 1870, in  the aftermath of the American Civil War. It stated that no US citizens could be denied the right to vote, due to discrimination in terms of race, color, or previous slave condition.

Anyway, the right to vote guaranteed by this amendment only involved men, as women would not be allowed to vote until 1920, when the 19th amendment was ratified.
