40 + 20 + 15 = $75
The original check amount + bank overdraft fee + company fee

I believe he would have to pay $35 to clear it all up because he got the original $40 back. Then he had to pay $20 to his bank, and $15 to the company.

20+15=35

Solve the following equation, using the Bhaskara formula: x² - 5x + 6 = 0
kramer

    x^2-5x+6=0

    x=\frac{-(-5)\pm\sqrt{(-5)^2-4\times1\times6}}{2\times1}\Leftrightarrow

\Leftrightarrow x=\frac{5\pm\sqrt{25-4\times6}}{2}\Leftrightarrow

\Leftrightarrow x=\frac{5\pm\sqrt{25-24}}{2}\Leftrightarrow

\Leftrightarrow x=\frac{5\pm\sqrt{1}}{2}\Leftrightarrow

\Leftrightarrow x=\frac{5\pm1}{2}\Leftrightarrow

\Leftrightarrow x=\frac{5-1}{2}\;\;\;\vee\;\;\;x=\frac{5+1}{2}\Leftrightarrow

\Leftrightarrow x=\frac{4}{2}\;\;\;\vee\;\;\;x=\frac{6}{2}\Leftrightarrow

\Leftrightarrow x=2\;\;\;\vee\;\;\;x=3

What system does it represent and what is the solution of this system
kicyunya [14]

We can see that the lines intersect at (-5,3) on the graph, so that eliminates choices B and D. Both A and C say that the first line is y=x+8, which is true. A says that the second line is y+x=-2, and after isolating y, we get y=-x+2, which seems correct. Do the same for C, and you will find that it says the other equation is y=x-2, which is not true because it must have a negative slope. So your answer will be choice A.
