The woodcut technique is when an image is printed from an inked and carved surface of a piece of wood. The artist create a design over the piece of wood. Then is carved in the shape the artist wants and with the colors in mind. Finally, a piece of paper is applied to the piece of Wood with the ink, and the artist applies pressure from the top.
