Answer:

VARIANCE for Total Expenses = $3,000 F

Explanation:

PLANNING Budget:

Container Refurbished = 28

Employee salaries and wages = $55,100 + $900x(28) = $55,100 + $25,200 = $80,300

Refurbishing materials = $600x(28) = $16,800

Other expenses = $41,200

Total Expenses = $80,300 + $16,800 + $41,200 = $138,300

FLEXIBLE Budget:

Container Refurbished = 26

Employee salaries and wages = $55,100 + $900x(26) = $55,100 + $23,400 = $78,500

Refurbishing materials = $600x(26) = $15,600

Other expenses = $41,200

Total Expenses = $78,500 + $15,600 + $41,200 = $135,300

VARIANCE for Total Expenses:

VARIANCE = PLANNING Budget - FLEXIBLE Budget = $138,300 - $135,300 = $3,000 F

Since Planning Budget is greater than Flexible Budget, the change is favorable (F)

Hope this helps!

A(n) ________ in the liquidity of corporate bonds will ________ the price of corporate bonds and ________ the yield on corpora
Fed [463]

Answer:

An <u>increase</u> in the liquidity of corporate bonds will <u>increase</u> the price of corporate bonds and <u>decrease</u> the yield on corporate bonds, all else equal.

Explanation:

Bond liquidity refers to how quickly the bonds can be redeemed and converted to cash. This relates to the ease with which an investor can sell his bond.

High liquidity bonds are costly as they are more in demand and an attractive investment for the investors.

Thus, bond liquidity is directly related to it's price.

The yield of a bond refers to the market rate of return and represents the expectation of the bondholder with respect to rate of return.

A high price bond ( high liquidity) usually pays higher coupon rate of interest which is higher than the market rate of return on similar bonds i.e yield to maturity. This means price of a bond is inversely related to it's yield. Higher the bond price, higher the coupon payment, lower the bond yield.

Elza [17]

The answer is marginal revenue (MR) curve above $22.

Explanation:

Jim and Lisa Groomers will maximize its accounting profit when taking it to 0 its economic profits when marginal revenue = marginal costs.

Economic profits are not the same as accounting profits because they include the opportunity costs of investing the money somewhere else. That is whythe long run firm is not able to make economic profits since as they exist, new competitors will enter the market. But in the case of the shoert run, the firms are able to make economic profit, but by doing so, they cannot maximize their accounting profit.

Economic profit = account profit = Opportunity profit
