This question really depends on your opinions. During Columbus' time, many monarchy's were hesitant on funding Columbus' voyage because they were satisfied with what they had. In my opinion, I wouldn't have funded Columbus' voyage because fist of all, it costs money. Second, if a random guy that I have never meet asks me for money to help him, I would obviously say no. Third, I don't know weather this would be worth it or not, so I will not fund his voyage.
