During the journey through triangular slave trade in exchange for goods to Europe, some of the slaves would arrive: Deceased

This occurrence happen because the slaves receive really hard treatments during the time of their journey. They were not fed properly by the slave traders, they were tortured without mercy and they also experience extreme cold at night.

In this speech, Emerson makes it clear that he admires Brown's actions. He also devotes a lot of time to describing Brown's family in order to convince the audience that this man was not so different from them after all.
