Divide the numbers but 70 has 2 numbers so take the decimal point and move it 2 spaces over and then divide

Her error is that the object she is trying to split into equal pieces is 4.05 meters, but she is using base ten blocks with a length of 10 meters, which is more than 4.05 meters. Therefore, when trying to split an object into equal pieces, she cannot use model blocks that are longer than the original object being measured.

I hope I helped! If you have any questions regarding my answer or explanation, please comment!

Answer:

Last option, a translation of 1.5 units left, 0.5 unit up, then a reflection across the x-axis

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's pick any random point. So let's just chose point L. Comparing point L to point L', we can already see that the options given are incorrect. For example,  the first option with just translations is incorrect because when we do translate point L 1.5 units left and then 1.5 units down, it does not line up with point L'. For the second and third options, we know that L(-2.5, 1.5) and L'(-4,-2). Therefore, there must be some sort of shift left, right, up, or down, to go from coordinates with decimals to coordinates with whole numbers, leaving the last option, D, as the correct one.

Can someone check my answer?

The measure of EC is 1 ft.

Solution:

Given data:

AD = 8 ft, DB = 2 ft, AE = 4 ft

To find the measure of EC:

Using triangle proportionality theorem,

<em>If a line is parallel to one side of a triangle intersects the other two sides, then it divides the two side proportionally.</em>

$\frac{AD}{DB} =\frac{AE}{EC}

$\frac{8}{2} =\frac{4}{EC}

Do cross multiplication.

8EC=2\times 4

8 EC = 8

Divide by 8 on both side of the equation, we get

EC = 1

EC = 1 ft

Hence the measure of EC is 1 ft.
