<span>The cause of impulsive aggression is said to be a combination of multiple components, including genetic factors, physical factors, and environmental factors. In recent years, antiepileptic drugs(AEDs) have become increasingly popular for management of impulsive aggression behavior. Several researches conducted on AEDs proved that it is very effective in reduction of impulsive aggression behavior.</span>

List two additional populations (other than those listed in the lab) for which
omeli [17]

Indirect methods like mark and recapture become a strong tool to estimate population size or density in species on which it is impossible to apply a direct methods. <em>Because of their biological and ecological characteristics, the Gypsy moth and the Green lizard populations are good examples  for which  mark and recapture would work well.</em>

<em>------------------------------------------------------</em>

There are different methods to study population density. There are direct methods and indirect methods. Among these last ones, we might find the Mark-Recapture technique.

The Mark-Recapture technique assumes that

  • <em>the population is closed during the sampling season, there is no mortality nor natality, </em>
  • <em>marks in the individual last the whole sampling season, and they do not affect the marked individual or their behavior. </em>
  • <em>marked individuals are randomly distributed in the population, and </em>
  • <em>all the individuals have the same probability of being sampled.</em>

The method consists of capturing a sample of individuals belonging to the population under study. After capturing the individuals, the researcher marks and releases them again. The third step is to sample again: The researcher captures new individuals and counts how many of them are marked. These marked individuals belong to the first sample.

Indirect methods like this become a strong tool to estimate population size or density in species on which it is impossible to apply a direct method such as <em>counting individuals</em>.

For instance, if we need to estimate insects population density (<u><em>Gypsy moth population</em></u>) or reptiles population density (<u><em>Green lizard population</em></u>) because of their biological and ecological characteristics, the best way of doing it is by applying indirect methods. <em>These species characterize as small-sized, fast to escape, they can hide in small inaccessible places, they have nocturnal habits, their reproductive rate is too high, and their distribution rate is wide. </em>Among many other characteristics, their population density can not be estimated by direct methods. Mark-Recapture technique is the most suitable one.

Please someone help -Choose 3 body system and explain how they help the body maintain homeostasis (1 paragraph for each) (biolog
Ugo [173]

Explanation:

Temprature:the body must maintain a relatively constant temperature if it gets to hot the body employees vasodilation to cool down this delites the blood vessels allowing more heat to escape from them through the skin

Glucose: the body must regulate glucose levels to stay healthy. When glucose levels become to high the body realeases a hormone called an insulinwhen they become to low the body converts the glocogenin the blood to glucose

Toxins :in the blood can distrupt the body's homeostasis thus it signals the urinary system to ensure that the toxins are excreated

Discuss the Conditions necessary to cause water to diffuse out of a cell
sammy [17]

When water molecules diffuse through a cell membrane this process is called the osmosis. Water molecules are extremely small and because of this they can slip freely through the gaps between the phospholipids in the cell membrane. And as a result, water molecules can constantly move back and forth though the cell <span>
membrane. This movement of water has a very important function and that is it enables cells to absorb water. </span>

Now for a movement of water molecules to happen, there should be a concentration gradient in the surrounding. That is, the amount of water in one side must be different on the other side.

<span>For water to diffuse INTO the cell, the amount of water outside the cell membrane should be larger than the amount of water inside the side.</span>

Why is publishing results important in science?
OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

Publishing results of research projects in peer-reviewed journals enables the scientific and medical community to evaluate the findings themselves. It also provides instructions so that other researchers can repeat the experiment or build on it to verify and confirm the results.
