Hello. This question is incomplete. The full question is:

"Which of the following is an action that people in Florida could take to help protect the Everglades? (2 points)  a] Decrease the amount of household detergents they use . b] Remove photosynthesizing plants from the shores along wetlands . c] Vote for politicians who support draining sections of wetland for sugar farming . d] Purchase foods from local farmers who use large amounts of fertilizers on their fields"

Answer:

a] Decrease the amount of household detergents they use

Explanation:

Since household detergents are not biodegradable, they can cause a type of chemical pollution in water environments that greatly damages the Everglades. These detergents accumulate in watercourses, where large amounts of foam can be seen floating.

Some of these detergents are biodegradable, but even so they represent a great environmental hazard because they often contain phosphate in their formulation. Unfortunately, the phosphate is almost unchanged when it goes through sewage treatment and can cause excess nutrients that will potentially harm the Everglades.
