14. 2z^2 - 4z + 2 =0

First factor out a 2

2(z^2 - 2z + 1) = 0

Now factor the z^2

2(z - 1)(z - 1)

z = 1 , 1 A

15. x^2 +6x = 0

factor out an x

x(x + 6) = 0

X = 0, -6 B

16.

6x^2 - 17x -14 = 0

Factor

(2x - 7)(3x +2) = 0(use the diamond method so solve this)

x = 7/2 , -2/3 D

17.

Simplify

15x^2 - 14x - 8 = 0 (use the diamond method to factor)

(3x -4)(5x + 2) = 0

x = 4/3, -2/5 B
