So find out Y first with the equation 2y+6=8y-102 which is y=18

Then plug in y for 8y-102 which is 42

Finally make the equation 3x+42=180 to find x which is 46

Which equation could be used to find the height of the flagpole?
Andrew [12]
Given a fragpole which makes a right angle with the point of observation with the angle of elevation as 50°.

Let x be the height of the flagpole, then

\sin50^o= \frac{x}{5}

Therefore, the <span>equation that could be used to find the height of the flagpole is

Give a set of five integers, two positive and three negative, for which the mean, median, and mode are all -3
koban [17]
That's 5 integers...

Logic tells me that a number divided by 5 should be equal to -3. -15/5 is in fact equal to -3.

Let's find 5 integers (two positive and three negative) when added up together equal -15.

-14, -3, -3, 2, 3.

[(-14)+(-3)+(-3)+2+3]/5 = (-15)/5 = -3

Mean = -3

----------

Now let's put these numbers in order, from lowest to highest - then pick out the middle value...

-14, -3, [-3], 2, 3

The median turns out to be -3.

------------

Let's look at the numbers once again...

-14, -3, -3, 2, 3

It turns out that -3 appears the most, therefore -3 is the mode too.
