Lets say you have 5x5. you would just add 5+5+5+5+5. To get a whole number for a fraction you have to do this. lets say you have 8/8 that would be equal to 8 circles and eight of those circles would be shaded in. 8/8 is one whole also 7/1 is a whole. It all depends on the problem you are trying to figure out

Multiplication is the same as repeated addition so let us take an example for a better understanding

2/3 * 4

Looks more like this

2/3 + 2/3 +2/3 = 2/3 = 8 /3

(If you add them up, we will get the same answer if we multiply it)

Same as 2/3 *4/1 = 8/3

On the other hand if you have whole numbers that you need to solve like 3*4 this means that 3 is added 4 times

3 + 3+ 3+ 3 = 12

Which would be the same thing as

3*4 = 12

In your lab, a substance's temperature has been observed to follow the function T()- (x- 2)3 +8. The turning point of the graph
Vlad1618 [11]

We have the function:

T(x)=(x-2)^3+8

A turning point happens when the function reaches a maximum or a minimum.

In that points the value of the first derivative of the function is equal to 0.

So we can find the turning points by finding the first derivative and equal to zero:

undefined
